Sony’s New Native 4K Projectors
Sony debuted two new native 4K projectors, the VPL-VW715ES and VPL-VW915ES, an update on previous models with a strikingly clear HDR experience. Inside the projectors, SXRD panels offer a new approach to liquid crystal micro-displays, and their upgraded picture processor “X1 for projector” is based on Sony’s highest-tier TVs.
Projectors can get a bad reputation for looking washed out and blurry. But when Sony’s 4K projectors are on, you’ll experience an image just as clear as a 4K TV, even when expanded on a large screen.
LG’s Updated OLED TVs
LG once again shined a spotlight on its stunning OLED technology, which turned seven this year. The difference in OLED screens stands in the pixels, which are individually self-illuminating. LG continues to enhance and expand its OLED collection, with the new CX Series.
The CX Series adds an improved image processor to the device and a new Filmmaker picture mode. The 48-inch model is all-new for 2020, joining the lineup of 55-, 65-, 77-, and 88-inch models. Users now have the option for a smaller OLED screen, ideal for more casual entertainment spaces.
Samsung’s The Frame Series
This year Samsung showed off its hidden technology TVs, the Frame Series. When the display is turned off, it won’t look like television at all, but rather a framed work of art. The Frame blends into any room, and you can enjoy living spaces without the distraction of a large black rectangle—until you want to turn Netflix on, of course.
The Frame line of products is available in a growing selection of sizes, as large as 75-inches down to 32-inch screens, perfect for kitchens or bedrooms. The Frame series offers more than 1,200 works of art to choose from, so you can find the ideal image to match your décor.
