Sony’s LPSX-A1 Projector

Sony made the biggest impact at CES 2018 with their brand new 4K ultra HD short-throw projector. Beautifully designed with a marble top and aluminum frame, this is the ideal solution if you’re looking to blend your home theater with your interior décor.

The LPSX-A1 comes within custom-built furnishing. From just a few feet away it can showcase full 4K HDR video to screens as big as 120".

What makes the projector truly unique is that it comes with its own built-in audio capabilities that can be used in standard, music, or theater mode depending on your day-to-day use.

Sony’s HT-Z9F Soundbar

In smaller applications where you don’t have room for a full Dolby Atmos speaker layout, this soundbar is the ideal solution for your home theater system.

Through a virtual surround engine, the soundbar can recreate the feel of surround and overhead speakers to bring immersive Dolby Atmos sound to your theater.

Using what it calls the "Virtual S" button you can enjoy 3D sound even from audio that wasn't explicitly mixed for Atmos. This will bring newfound clarity and depth to your favorite movies.

Control4’s Mark of Excellence

While a lot of the focus in theaters goes to audio and video, control should never be overlooked. Your system should be intuitive, letting you efficiently manage all your components and content.

This is why we recommend incorporating a Control4 solution into your home theater system. At CES 2018, Control4 received Mark of Excellence awards for its new software upgrade. The most relevant feature when it comes to home theater systems is there brand new When>>Then feature.

This makes it easy to create sequences or what are called scenes in your theater. For example, when you hit play your lights could dim, shades close, and projector turns on to your media library.

Via your app, you can even set up these sequences to happen on a particular schedule. So instead of having to wait until you hit play, your theater can automatically prepare when it's time for your favorite TV show or the latest Panthers game.
