Own a house in the city and another on the beach or lake? X4 makes it easy to toggle between homes. At the top left of the home screen, the new Property Selector lets you switch locations with just a tap.

On the left, a minimalist sidebar allows you to navigate quickly between rooms and devices, eliminating the need to dig through layers of menus. This way, you can check on and adjust the climate, lighting, and security cameras at your other home in real time.

3. Routines: Automate Your Lifestyle, Your Way

X4’s new Routines feature gives you the tools to schedule technology around your actual routines, not someone else’s template. Set smart lights to match the sunrise, schedule shades to lower after sunset, or automate music for when you step into the kitchen each morning. The Routine Timeline lets you see what’s coming up today, so nothing gets overlooked.

Not sure where to begin? The built-in Routine Gallery offers a range of pre-set automations, which can be applied to any room or zone and adjusted as your needs evolve. Where automation once required a call to your integrator, you now have direct, hands-on control over schedules and scenes.

4. Newly Expanded Apple Integration

If you live with iPhones, Mac computers, or Apple CarPlay in your vehicles, Control4 X4 now provides direct, synchronized integration with your Apple products. You can launch home scenes straight from your iPhone’s control center or by using Siri, without clunky workarounds or third-party apps required.

Before X4, Apple users found this level of connectivity out of reach. Now, your smart home responds to your Apple ecosystem in a single step.
